Softly
01:39
|
|||
*Softly*
I will feed you warm bowls of soft words
until your soul bones have been nourished
so that you may walk on moonbeams
and talk with God.
Then I will tuck you into the sunset
so that you may rise again
with the sky

We knew better
02:36
|

*We Knew Better*
His eyes wandered down my face like
anaconda blues with a sly smile that
could ease the nature of the beast
into a slow slaughter
Fixated on my lips he crept
into my pucker with a lasting ache
that traveled down like a fever
between my legs
We studied each other mouth to lips
For a touch to taste, like blue smolder
within a seething campfire
But we knew better to leave the space between us

Gravity
02:34
|
|||
*Gravity*
It’s always changing
Then let it change
Going around and around
Til it comes back to you
The center is you
You are me
Together
We make up this
Gravity called life
Our bodies separate
But bend towards
A new reality
Immortal being in
A finite world
We tremble at these
Long human days
It’s always changing
Going around and around
Til it comes back to you
Then let it change
The center is you
We the mortal are immoral
We’ve come to realize
The judgment is on us
We the pristine and holier
They’ve come to take away
Our skies
To leave us with the soot
In our lungs
Our beds
Our flowered grieves
We the mortal are immoral
We’ve come to realize
The judgment is on us
But the center is you
Is always you

Fluid
02:40
|
|||
*Fluid*
When you touch me
I can feel you fluid within my chest
Bold as a blood pact
unwritten, on our breath.
We have been here before
in the memory of the stones
mouthing the names of a different sun.
We breed eternity with a kiss
and vow to savor on our lips
each other in the next
brimming world.

Hidden
01:48
|
|||
*Hidden*
You said you'd remember.
We were not the children
bearing dead leaves.
Or the phantoms of cowards
not the final prey.
We have always been here
between the glitter and space.
The hidden flock
begetting the brand-new day
when all our dazzle
will bleed this life
into tomorrow’s ghost.
